Module 3:
Cambodian Monkeys, Dances, and Masks

Students will learn about the Hanuman the Monkey God, a mythic creature in Cambodia celebrated in mask-making and dance traditions. Students will paint an authentic monkey mask form from Cambodian in the traditional style and see a video of the monkey god dance. They learn a few of the movements from the well-loved monkey dance as well as learn about several species of rare monkeys that live remote sections of Cambodia.
