For the blessing, we all sat on a straw mat in front of the monk. He lite incense, a candle, and threw water on us as he chanted. Our driver translated each phrase of the blessing. He wished us happiness and good health. He wrote the blessing on a sliver scroll and rolled it inside a necklace which was placed around Harry Sarak's neck. We promised the monk that we would make sure that Harry Sarak kept Cambodia's spirit in his heart as grows up in America and like the birds in the cages on the Mekong -- that he would return. After the blessing, we made an offering and walked around the Temple.
